A poem by Osiris Valdés
My Night's Rainbow
I want to traverse the geography of your body,
and learn about life and your biology,
with your bones, with the pain of your times.
I want you to flow freely through my blood,
to turn your name into the most beautiful verse.
I want a diphthong of your love,
I want to take your last name and have it tattooed on me in binary code
and to learn algebra on your legs,
to burn at 180 degrees Celsius with your kisses,
and to consume ourselves in the orgasm of 356 Fahrenheit degrees of desire.
I want to be the caricature of your eyes,
Osiris Valdés López
the tightrope of your fears,
to create the theorem and solve the problem of your absence.
To lose myself in the relativity of your times,
and in every lapse of your thoughts,
to scream everything, I think.
To undress your body, to disorder the vibration
of the sung work that is the opera of your screams,
to forget the world in your bed,
and above all,
I want your kisses on my window.
