Interview with Alexia
By José Luis Ortiz Güell
An intimate conversation with the General Director of ClickradioTV about journalism, values, and the soul behind the microphone
1. How did your passion for communication begin, and what led you to lead ClickradioTV?
My initial passion was something else, and life and circumstances guided me to where I am today. ClickradioTV and its leader, Javier Lillo, have transformed my current profession into my true passion.
2. What distinguishes ClickRadioTV under your direction in such a competitive media environment?
In everything; we are a disruptive, pioneering, avant-garde medium, always ahead of the future, and, most importantly, founded on solid values, principles, and the best human team.
3. How do you balance journalistic objectivity with empathy for human stories?
Precisely by having ethical and human values as both the origin and the goal, weighing our duty to inform against the responsibility to do good.
4. What role do ethical values play in your management and the station’s editorial line?
They are the foundation of every action we undertake, both as a network and in the individual initiatives of the professionals who are part of it, starting with its founder, Javier Lillo, who has instilled this editorial line.
5. Is there a moment that marked a turning point in your vision of journalism?
Joining ClickradioTV; it has not only changed my vision of how to reach the public through the new digital era, but also transformed the way we work, where human relationships take precedence. I have learned to enjoy working.
6. What message would you like to convey to the new generation of communicators?
Preparation, hard work, and firm values. Choose among fame, money, or prestige. I choose the latter.
7. How is the credibility of a medium like ClickRadioTV protected in times of misinformation?
By always being honest, sincere, and real. All of this contributes to professional integrity.
8. ClickRadioTV emphasizes culture and diversity. How important are these spaces in your vision of communication?
For us, culture and good taste are essential. Diversity is not applied indiscriminately in every context. We do diversify programming to meet the refined tastes of the audience that comes to our network.
9. What does Alexia Cué dream for the future of ClickRadioTV and journalism?
That we continue the growth we have experienced over the past year, because thanks to our audience, we do not set limits. As for journalism, I hope it remains a serious, rigorous, demanding, and unbiased profession—more necessary than ever to prevent abuses of power and manipulation.
Today, we did not just interview a general director. Today, we met a woman who, with a serene voice and firm principles, is sowing awareness in the air. And that, simply, moves the soul and transmits humanity in a world that has left behind values such as freedom, compassion, and solidarity.
