With a voice born from flamenco that makes its way toward the most honest emotion, Rafael Ruiz Rodríguez, artistically known as “El Bomba,” continues consolidating a career marked by truth and feeling. A native of Seville, the young artist has made his roots a flag that waves on every stage, defending a way of singing and living music deeply connected to his land.

His breakthrough in the national scene came after his participation in La Voz, an experience that not only amplified his media projection, but also allowed him to acquire an important artistic and personal background. Under the mentorship of Alejandro Sanz, El Bomba learned to understand music from simplicity, humility, and enjoyment of the journey, values that today define his artistic discourse.

Now, the singer presents Mentira en tus palabras, a ballad that delves into romantic disappointment and the wounds left by empty promises. A song that marks a turning point in his career and in which the artist assures that he has begun to find himself and the musical line he wants to follow. We speak with him about his origins, his evolution, and the new projects that are already appearing on the horizon.

 1. In what way did your Sevillian origins influence your artistic identity?

I think it is my essence. I carry my origin, my land, and my city as a flag wherever I go. I could neither sing nor have this way of being if I had not grown up in my land.

 2. You began your semi-professional career at just 13 years old: what did this stage contribute to you on a personal and musical level?

Above all, growth. Learning to respect the profession and my colleagues, and realizing that this is truly what I want to dedicate my life to.

 3. What did your participation in La Voz mean for you and how did it mark a before and after in your career?

It was an incredible experience. It helped me gain a lot of experience on stage and, in addition, it was a very important showcase for my musical career.

 4. What did you learn from the experience of working with Alejandro Sanz?

I learned that less is more, that one must be humble and, above all, enjoy the journey.

 5. In your new single Mentira en tus palabras, you address heartbreak and emotional wounds: what story is behind this song?

In the end, we all have a painful love story in life. The song talks about that, and I express how I have lived my own story.

 6. What did you want to convey to the audience with this ballad and what difference do you find between this track and previous works?

I wanted to convey my way of feeling and living things. I think that in this track is where I begin to find myself and the musical line I want to follow from now on.

 7. What has the creative and production process of this song been like?

It has been a very gratifying and beautiful process. I have been able to share it with producers and friends Dani Bonilla and Rodrigo Carmona, who have known how to capture all my essence and bring out the best in me.

 8. Looking to the future, what projects are you currently working on?

Soon there will be a collaboration with Sergio Contreras and also new ballads that are already in the works.
