In a ceremony that promises to bring together the very best of continental talent, the organization behind the Europa Awards has today unveiled the list of personalities and institutions that will be honored in its 2026 edition. Considered by critics as “Europe’s highest awards for excellence,” these distinctions once again recognize outstanding professional careers and exceptional contributions across all fields of human knowledge.

The selection of the new award recipients, whose verdict remained secret until very recently, underscores the multicultural and transdisciplinary character that defines these awards, which will be held in Madrid. Sources close to the organizing committee told this correspondent that this year’s deliberation was particularly competitive, reflecting the richness and diversity of Europe’s creative, scientific, and social landscape, with more than 800 candidates considered.

Among this year’s honorees are figures from a wide range of disciplines—precisely the hallmark of awards that seek to “weave a map of excellence without borders,” according to their philosophy.

“When the noise of the world tries to divide us, the Europa Awards 2026 raise their voice to remind us of what we truly are: a community that beats to the rhythm of knowledge, culture, and peace. In these times of shadows, being excellent is an act of rebellion. The Europa Awards 2026 are the light that illuminates those who, through their work, show us that another world is not only possible, but already underway.”
