Feature cultural / live entertainment piece

The duo blends rumba-rock, street attitude, and sci-fi 3D projections in an immersive live show that connects with digital aesthetics, reels, and today’s youth culture.
Contemporary rumba opens a new chapter with the launch of the tour “Que la rumba te acompañe,” the tour with which Uña y Carne returns to the stage and reaffirms its place within the current music scene. Madrid will be the starting point of this new stage.
Uña y Carne is the rumba-rock project created by filmmaker, composer, and producer Carlos Salado together with singer Antonio Clavería, an artistic alliance born closely linked to cinematic language. The origins of the group are found in the soundtrack of the quinqui film Criando ratas, a work that defined its initial identity and whose songs have accumulated millions of streams on digital platforms, directly connecting with a young and urban audience. From that starting point, the duo has developed its own universe in which social storytelling, visual aesthetics, and a contemporary rumba coexist that draws both from the streets and from the audiovisual imagination.
Throughout their career, the group has consolidated a recognizable proposal based on lyrics that reflect social realities, a strong stage presence, and a carefully crafted visual identity. Their songs have not only achieved wide distribution on digital platforms, but have also found an especially effective outlet on social media, where their musical reels have helped expand their follower community and strengthen their profile as a comprehensive artistic project.
With two albums released —Lo que el tiempo no sabe borrar and Consume rumba sin moderación— Uña y Carne has shown constant evolution both sonically and conceptually. These works are joined by collaborations with top-tier artists such as El Canijo de Jerez, Bebe, Lennis Rodríguez, Jincho, and Costa, which have enriched their discourse and expanded the boundaries of rumba into other musical territories.
The new tour “Que la rumba te acompañe” represents a step forward in the conception of the live show. The performance is designed as an immersive experience in which the energy of live rumba merges with powerful 3D projections and a sci-fi aesthetic, building a retrofuturistic imaginary with cinematic references such as Mad Max or The Warriors. A staging that reinforces the project’s connection with cinema and turns each concert into a visual and sonic narrative.
Far from being limited to a conventional format, the show proposes a sensory journey in which music and image constantly interact, underlining Uña y Carne’s identity as one of the most distinctive proposals on today’s scene. With this kickoff in Madrid, the duo launches a tour that confirms their artistic maturity and their ability to reinvent rumba from a contemporary perspective, without losing the pulse of the street or their closeness to the audience.
